Amna Khan, MS (Clin. Psy), Registered Psychotherapist, OACCPP
Amna Khan is a Registered Psychotherapist and a certified member of Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. She holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with several certifications in the field of mental health. She has 13+ years experience in providing Psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, couples, children and families experiencing a range of psychological difficulties.
Her work is inspired by eclectic approach in which she applies different therapeutic modalities based on the needs and best interest of her clients. She predominantly uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Brief Solution Focused, Humanistic and Client Centred approach in her practice.

Laiba Imran, MA (Coun. Psy), Registered Psychotherapist, CCPA
Laiba Imran is a passionate Psychotherapist registered with CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario). She obtained her Masters Degree in Psychotherapy after completing an undergrad at the University of Toronto and has been actively counselling clients from diverse backgrounds ever since.
Her fluency in both English and Urdu allows her to effectively work with a broad population. Coming from a South Asian background and having been raised in Canada, Laiba is culturally aware of western and eastern values, beliefs, and ideologies. She remains unbiased and culturally sensitive to clients of diverse backgrounds.
Laiba has experience working with individuals between the ages of seventeen to seventy who struggle with Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive, Bipolar, Borderline Personality Disorder and Addiction.
She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as her primary modality. Laiba also applies Gestalt and Humanistic techniques in her practice. Using a Client-Centred approach, Laiba helps her clients meet their goals and find solutions to maladaptive thinking patterns. She attributes the success of her work to her commitment to help clients progress and maintain it post therapy by utilizing learned techniques.
Waleed Riaz, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), MA (Coun. Psy), CCPA
Waleed is a member of Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). He has received certifications in mental health and addiction programs from renowned universities like Yale, UoFT and UBC. Waleed also has a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology.
Waleed has been entrusted in various settings to provide mental health support to residential, outpatient, and inpatient clients. His broad base of training and experience working with mood and anxiety disorders, substance use disorder, and stress management enables him to cater to the clients’ needs empathetically and sensitively.
Waleed primarily works within the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, with ability to integrate mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), motivational interviewing (MI) and dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), as needed to cultivate positive outcomes from the treatment. He is fluent in English, Urdu, Kutchi / Memoni, and Hindi.
Ayman Taher, Registered Psychotherapist / Spiritual Counsellor
Ayman Taher is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. He is a Certified Clinical Chaplain and Spiritual Counsellor from the College of Pastoral Education and Psychotherapy (CPSP) Canada - USA and Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC).
He has more than 25 years of experience providing individual, couples and family counselling through a holistic approach of mind, body soul and spirit. He has been working as a Spiritual Counsellor and Caregiver at the Sick Kids Hospital Toronto since 1997. He is also an imam, a public speaker and an activist in several social advocacy groups, such as Muslim Children’s Aid and Support Services (MCASS). Ayman is certified in Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). He has conducted several mental health, parenting and youth workshops in different cities across Canada.
Ayman is familiar with most of counselling psychology models and uses them eclectically based on client needs. He provides specialized support with Pre-marital counselling, healing from a troubled divorce or relationship, family problems, trauma or loss, intimate partner violence, inner conflicts, low self-esteem, youth problems and gerontology.
Maria Ahmed, MA (Add. Coun), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), CCPA
We all experience difficult encounters that leave us questioning our world view or even ourselves. Finding the right support is a difficult task and can oftentimes be a daunting experience. Maria aims to create safe emotional spaces to help, explore, cope with, or overcome difficulties towards acceptance, serenity, inner peace, empowerment, and healthier relationships. She believes that difficult experiences can either break us down or build us up.
Her process for each session involves supporting people to be able to express and understand feelings, develop new ways of thinking or behaving, and skill development for stress management and behavioral change. As a wife and a mother Maria knows how important support can be for well being. She has a Master of Arts Degree in Addictions Counselling and her methods include narrative therapy, CBT, CPT and DBT. Sana is a member in good standing of the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She holds Masters in Counselling Psychology from Wayne State University and certifications in Teletherapy through the APA. Sana is clinically trained in several modalities including cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness training, grief counseling, narrative based therapy, and more.
She strives to create a warm, supportive environment where her clients are encouraged to seek positive change and growth. Her background combined with life experiences equips her to work with an integrated approach using a person-centered, strength-based focus to help clients overcome emotional distress and behavioural issues.
Sana is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health in minority populations and working with youth minorities/ people of colour. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, providing therapy for anxiety, depression, adjustment, eating, trauma & stress-related disorders. Shahrukh Afzal, Psychotherapist / Registered Social Worker
Shahrukh is a Registered Social Worker and is in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She has 7+ years of experience, while completing her Masters in Social Work she has gained clinical experience working with diverse populations diagnosed with extreme mental illnesses such as schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and clinical depression.
Being an immigrant herself, Shahrukh is extremely passionate about eliminating barriers of accessing mental health services for immigrant and refugee populations. Her ability to fluently communicate in Urdu, Punjabi and English, allows her to provide culturally sensitive services to individuals from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Shahrukh uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness, exposure therapy, solution-focused brief therapy and expressive art therapy as the primary modalities. She is extremely client centred and believes in collaborating with the client as a team to find the most effective therapeutic modality based on the individual’s personal needs, goals and interests.
